Women and the Resurrection Digital Cartoon

There is feminism in religion. If you read the gospels with open eyes you can see that the women in Jesus' life played a major role. Including being the first to witness their risen Christ. But I wanted to suggest that the church became increasingly patriarchal as power became an important issue.

Sometimes I draw a cartoon and think it's completely harmless and realize that I've offended something like the patriarchy and fragile male egos and the drama begins.

The women were first. The church forgot that pretty quickly. This Easter, that's worth remembering and if you need a laugh along the way, check out 3 Funny Easter Cartoons and Comics.
